Let Me Tell You About My Favorite Tea Flavors...

Not all tea flavors are created equal. In fact, there is, in my opinion, a great variety of great and not-so-great flavors within each tea company's flavor creations. Perhaps this is purely personal preference. Read on for my favorite flavors from a variety of tea manufacturers.

The Top Three Reasons I Think These Flavors are the Best Tea Flavors

  • Great taste

Good Earth Original Sweet & Spicy

Sweet and Spicy is right. Perfect blend of sweetness (no need for sugar or sweetener with this one) and spiciness. Don't steep your tea bag too long, however, or you'll have SPICY and sweet! Yummm...

Republic of Tea Ginger Peach

Delicious fruit flavored tea, and I'm not a fruit tea fan! This tea has a mild peach flavor no matter how long you forget and leave that tea bag in. The ginger is very mild as well and does not overpower the peachiness. Try it today! This tea was voted "Outstanding Beverage" by the National Association of the Specialty Food Trade! Republic of Tea

The Republic of Tea is a company that markets organic and exotic teas from around the world. The company was founded in 1992 by Mel and Patricia Ziegler with Bill Rosenzweig after selling their interest in the original Banana Republic stores, which the Zieglers co-founded .

The Republic of Tea is based in Novato, California, but with its major production factory in Nashville, Illinois. The founders of the company authored a book detailing their exchanges while conceiving the company. In 1994, the founders sold the company to Ron Rubin under whom the company has grown into a nationally-recognized category leader in specialty tea sales.

The Republic of Tea designates its employees as ministers, customers as citizens and retail outlets as embassies. It was one of the first companies to retail varieties such as red tea, white tea, and tea seed oil to American consumers. For several years, canisters of tea could be bought in Barnes & Noble stores, and is now sold at Panera Bread.

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane

I love peppermint. This holiday tea has some added elements that normally I would not have thought fit with the flavor of peppermint, but in this case they create a wonderful experience. In addition to the peppermint there is also vanilla and cinnamon, among other things, to make a delightful original tea flavor.

Celestial Seasonings Honey Lemon Ginseng

This tea has a wonderful green tea flavor with the slightly sweet taste of honey. Lovely on a cold morning!

Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime

Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime tea has been a favorite for several years. It's soothing taste and aroma are great for bedtime or for soothing an unsettled stomach. I love to sip a cup of Sleepytime tea as I'm reading a book right before bedtime. Ahhhh...

Twinings Pure Peppermint

Many of the peppermint teas that I have tried tend to get bitter if you leave the tea bag in too long. Twinings Pure Peppermint, however, is a big exception. I'm famous for leaving my tea bag in the cup for much longer than tea connoisseur would suggest. No matter how long I steep my bag of Pure Peppermint, it never turns the tea bitter. Delicious...and soothing!

I am a tea addict! I'm also an Honorary Ambassador for the Republic of Tea (from the days when I used to train people to manage cafes) I can not and will not start my tea w/out a cuppa :)
